Pros: These are REALLY well designed. I love that you can throw the entire diaper in the wash without disassembling it (the pocket opens at both ends, allowing the inserts to agitate our in the wash). The leg gussets keep poop in. And the upper weight limit is about 40 pounds—higher than a lot of other brands I looked at. Cons: These diapers are not absorbent enough for a heavy wetter. I have to add a cotton doubler (folded up in front) and, even then, half the time my son pees through the diaper in about two hours. Also, adding the doubler makes the front of the diaper so densely packed it feels like cement. I ended up preferring fitteds for my heavy wetter, but I still use these when my son is likely to poop, because the changing frequency is higher and poop cleanup with these diapers is easier than with the hemp prefolds.

I bought twelve of these diapers to use for my son. I had tried many other diaper brands(fuzzibunz, bumgenius, Alva, rumparoos, grovia) and these are by far the best diaper I've used. Each diaper seemed to have their own problem the fuzzibunz leaked out of the ditching the bumgenius resulted in blowouts along the legs the alvas weren't absorbent enough the runparoos were hard to clean and really held on to odors and the grovia just didn't fit properly. These diapers have it all. The gussets around the legs keep everything contained while the inserts are extra absorbent and keep my son dry and happy. He's a very heavy wetter so I added an extra hemp insert at night and he sleeps all through the night now! The material on the diaper itself is so soft. They come clean very well when washed and dry incredibly fast when I hang them up to dry. (I normally put the inserts in the dryer and hang up the diaper) Seriously, everything is wonderful. And the prints are absolutley adorable! I would recommend these to anyone who is diapering their child!

Love my Thirsties Pockets. They are easy to stuff, easy to wash, quick drying, and have always fit my 25th percentile nugget. They are also one of the only brands who I actually look forward to the new pattern releases. The Adventure collection and the woodland collection are both amazing! So far our stash is complete but that hasnt stopped me from buying them for friends and family. Keep up the great work Thirsties!

We use hook and loop thirsties pockets exclusively for daycare. It has been a great fit ever since my baby was big enough for 'one-size' diapers. The only thing I said when teaching the caregivers to use them was, "It's basically the same as a disposable!" They haven't had any problems with leaks. I like that I can add absorbency if needed, but the caregivers won't see any change or have to learn to use a new system. Only complaint is minor staining and pilling at the gussets.

We love our thirsties pockets! They are trim and fit well on my short, chunky baby. My favorite way to use them is with the hemp/cotton insert and a pad folded flat. They are versatile for day or night. And the adorable prints are icing on the cake.

I just tried my first pocket diaper! I love that the inserts don't have to be removed prior to washing (that would be a deal breaker for me ;), and that they hold in leaks well. I still love my Thirsties AIO's better, but definitely recommend Thirsties when I know people looking for pocket diapers.

These diapers are great! The hook and loop is strong and sturdy, the fit is trim, the prints and colors are gorgeous! I do not and will not use microfiber so I have used it with only the hemp insert and am impressed by how absorbant it is.

This diaper is super easy and all you could want in a diaper, especially one with such adorable prints! I love that the insert comes in two parts so you can customize absorbency without having to "add extras". The fit is nice, not too bulky and is always secure around mine's legs and torso. My baby is on the chunkier side though, so I can't comment to smaller babies. I have hook-n-loop, which I'm not super fond of generally, but these seem to be holding up very well, so far 6 months in. No blowouts, seldom a leak - but that can be solved with more absorbency.

These are very cute, trim, and absorbent, and make up about half of my stash. Overall great diapers that have performed and held up well. Used successfully for naps, occaisionally over night if you don't have too heavy of a wetter. Haven't really had issues with blowouts or leaks. I've used with my son since about 4 months old - he is now 20 months! I would say that if you have a chunky baby they won't fit as long, we're about maxed out on waist right now (especially with the Velcro version) and he's only 22 lbs. When he went through some chunkier stages I also found the leg holes to be a little tight. Only thing I wish is that they just had a pocket opening in the back (instead of front & back), and that the front was sewn shut with an insert stopper :) I have both snaps and Velcro and each have benefits/drawbacks. Below are more specifics if you're interested... As I said, I'm not really a fan of the double pocket opening. I always just pull my inserts out, so the extra insert at the front is just a hassle to me, I wish it was just an waterproof insert stopper. With the opening in the front you have to check that the inner fleece layer hasn't fallen down which lets lets either microfiber touch their skin (if you're using both inserts), or the back of the snaps which leave imprints (obviously not a problem with the Velcro version). The Velcro is beneficial for my front flap issues because it has an extra pul flap that you can tuck the front of the insert under (snap version doesn't). Other than that bonus, I found that I prefer the snaps. Because of leg tightness issue I mentioned before, I like snaps because you can offset if they have chunkier legs, the snaps also seem to fit around the waist longer. I also like the snaps because they are more trim under pants and don't rub tummies or legs when you have a crawler.

I did a lot of research before I purchased cloth diapers for my first born. I ended up choosing two brands to buy (I didn't want to get bogged down with all sorts of brands and types of diapers. I also didn't want to confuse my poor husband.) I chose two brands that were not Thirsties. One brand is amazing and I love to pieces. The second brand I chose were the super cute patterned brand, that charges a ton of money for their cute diapers and were high on the recommended list. I ultimately got lured in by the cute patterns. BIG MISTAKE. I was SO bummed that I ended up selling all of my diapers from that brand. Between the infant size diapers and the one-size diapers my poor kid's legs were doing the splits with the two brands of diapers. I was kinda concerned that my kid was going to grow up to be bow-legged (we live in a big city, so we don't have the excuse that equestrian people do... haha). I bought a Thirsties Pocket diaper because my friend had loved them and recommended them to me. (This was before Thirsties came out with their all-in-ones). I bought it and it fit PERFECTLY on my kid. The crotch isn't too wide so his little legs were closer together and they were super absorbent. We were unable to buy more than that one diaper at the time due to financial situations. I got so sick of the "cute" diapers leaking that I finally had to sell them. I'm now investing in all Thirsties diapers to replace them. I'm mixing both the pocket and the all-in-ones in my diaper stash. Since they came out with the Woodland's Collection, I have been so excited to purchase more because they are so stinkin' cute. I also recently bought the new all-in-ones and they are SO SOFT! It's a big deal to me. I want my little son's package to be cradled softly (too graphic? sorry). I have had a lot of interaction with the Thirsties Staff and they are super pleasant to work with. They are super professional and helpful. I kinda wish the Thirsties staff would wait on me at a few of my favorite restaurants since this country is lacking friendly staff now-a-days (tangent?). BOTTOM LINE: If you are on the fence about Thirsties pocket or all-in-ones, buy a few of each. I PROMISE you won't be disappointed. They fit SO WELL and are SO soft. Worth the money. LOVE THESE DIAPERS!!!!

I have two very active kids, and have cloth diapered both of them. I've tried five different brands of diapers, and after four years of diapering I've found that Thirsties are my favorite. There are other brands that are good, but Thirsties are the only diapers that I was successfully able to use on my oldest, then reuse on my youngest. They are comfortable, cute, well made, wash well, and are my go-to diapers for nap time, because they're the least likely to leak. If I had to do it over again, I would make the vast majority of my stash Thirsties one-size pocket diapers.

Thirsties Pockets are by far one of my favorite diapers! While they did not fit my newborn son -who weighed in at 6 pounds and six ounces when we brought him home- initially, no one-size diapers did (other than Duo Wraps!) so I wasn't surprised or discouraged. At three weeks, he had jumped up to about 8 pounds and thirteen ounces, his big belly and skinny legs making for an awkward fit in most of his newborn diapers. But the OS Pocket fit perfectly! Between the gentle but powerful elastics, unique leg encasing, and the thirsty hemp insert included, previously-explosive breastfed newborn poop is a breeze. Nothing gets out of this adorable diaper. And the hemp insert helps eliminate compression leaks (wet car rides are a thing of the past) and makes nighttimes stress-free. They're perfect for heavy-wetters, as well, if you just stuff in an extra hemp insert. It remains trim, and cute as heck, while being my most versatile and effective diaper!

After trying several brands of cloth diapers with our son (who is now 11 weeks old), I was getting very discouraged since they all seemed to leak. Then I tried Thirsties' Pockets, and couldn't have been more pleased. The double-gussets on the legs seem to do the trick to avoid leaks. The hook-and-loop are easy to adjust the fit, they hold well, and the designs are cute also. I've since stocked up and have a renewed confidence in cloth diapering. Thirsties' have been the answer!

A good friend started me off with a stash of prefolds and Thirsties Duo wraps. I fell in love and ordered more Duo Wraps. I wanted a little more convenience for baby sitters and outings so we bought 6 one-size pockets. I have been cloth diapering for 2+ months now. My baby/toddler is about 20 lbs and is 15 months old. She's rather petite. These pockets (with inserts) fit so nicely and even a little trim compared to the Dup Wraps! We use the Duo Wraps at home and the pockets when we have dr's appointments and such. The one-size pockets are wonderful at night, too!! Our Duo Wrap covers have snap closures and the pockets have hook-and-loop closures, which at first I wasn't head over heels for but boy do I love them!! We get a nicer fit around her tummy with the hook-and-loop than with snaps and it makes for less guess work for baby sitters. Plus, hook-and-loop is faster to fasten with a wiggly little one. I was introduced to cloth diapering with Thirsties and I will stick with them as we have more babies! They are such great quality!! I have nothing bad to say about Thirsties :)

I ordered the Ocean Collection of the snap OS pockets. I love the prints and even have a travel wet bag to match. The positives I can give for these diapers are that the materials are quality and made well, the inserts agitate out in prewash, and the prints are cute. However, due to the negatives we will be destashing these and investing in other brands. First of all, these are the most expensive diapers in our stash of 7 brands. They consistently leak out of the leg wholes...even on the tightest setting and my baby is average by height and weight on the charts. The double gussets while a good idea in theory do not work for us. The outer gusset doesn't even touch his skin and these diapers always leave lines on him. Also, the elastic areas stain consistently and the inserts are only absorbent enough for us when doubled up which adds to bulk and more work for stuffing. I really wanted to love these diapers so I am disappointed to say the least. I will keep using my fab doublers and wet bag by this brand.

STILL our favorite! We have been using (maybe even abusing) this diaper for a year now. I have about 8 brands in my rotation and these are overwhelmingly my favorite and my husband's too. First of all, they never leak. Secondly, most of my other brands need the leg elastic replaced or the velcro replaced. None of our Thirsties need new elestic and the velcro is as good as new (thanks to the amazing laundry tabs that WORK). I just ordered five more to replace the other bands that are failing me. Oh, and the fact that I don't have to remove the inserts at wash time makes me almost wish my son poops in the Thirsties. Haha. 😜

The diaper is well made, but compared to all the other brands of one-size pocket diapers, it is at least 2 inches shorter, and considerably smaller. Thirsties did everything right with this one! I have tried about a dozen different brand pocket diapers and this one is by far my favorite. This is the only diaper I have ever purchased that I actually use, and love, the insert that came with it. I love that there are openings in the back of the diaper which makes stuffing it very easy and allows the insert to agitate out by itself in the wash! (Yay! No more touching icky inserts!)The hook and loop closure is the stickiest I have ever seen. The laundry tabs almost self-close and always stay closed while washing. The icing on the cake is that this diaper is made in the USA! The value is amazing for an American made diaper that comes with a fabulous hemp insert. Everyone else is charging about $7 more for a US made diaper with cheap microfiber inserts. I am so impressed with every aspect of this diaper. Kudos to Thirsties!!

Let me start by saying, I love Thirsties products. However, I tend to have much better luck with the fitteds and covers over the pocket diaper. The absorbency is phenomenal and I don't have any leaks, but they seem to have trouble containing my 6 month old DD's poo! This was true of the old duo system and the new one size pocket. With the duo, DD would blow out the leg, but with this new one size, it's out the back. The vertical snaps are nice because the front doesn't fold over like the single row used to... but the rise setting is JUST too small on the middle setting so it is really tight across her thighs and I can't get it tight enough across her back to contain the "mess." But, the highest rise setting is too big still and the legs won't get tight enough that way. I think as she grows it will fit better when I can put the rise on the highest setting. Overall, I still use these every day because the absorbency is awesome, and to be honest, I think DD would blow out of even a disposable so I'd probably be cleaning her up anyways! I'm going to be trying some flats and prefolds again, as we switched over completely to pockets after she outgrew the newborn stash... but these pockets will still be super convenient for babysitters, grandparents, dad, etc. and will remain a staple in my current collection of fluff.

Before Use: Wash your One Size Pocket diaper shells along with the terry portion of the insert once before use. The hemp portion of the insert needs to be washed and dried at least three times before use to rid the fibers of the natural oils. This is done separately from your other diapering products for the first 3 washes. Inserts will be fully primed and at their maximum absorbency after 8 wash cycles.
At every wash cycle:
-Prewash on warm
-Wash on hot
-Add another rinse on warm.
-Hang dry the shells or dry in the dryer on low. Inserts may be hung to dry or dried in the dryer. If inserts are stiff after line drying, you can throw them in the dryer on medium heat with some wool dryer balls to soften them.
Important notes:
Use enough water to soak and cover the diapering items and allow them to agitate.
Please avoid the following:
Laundry boosters/additives
Sanitize or Whites cycles on HE machines
High heat in the dryer
Pure Soap
Bleach
These practices and/or additives can void the warranty on your Thirsties products. A 15 minute cycle on hot in the dryer once a month is beneficial to lamination, and will not void your warranty. You may use high heat on inserts.

Thirsties One-Size Pocket Diaper is ultra-absorbent, a cinch to use, and designed to provide a great fit for most babies from 8 to 40 lbs. Pairing our adjustable rise with our signature leg gussets ensures messes will be contained whether your baby is tall, short, slim or chunky. The included inserts provide eight thirsty layers of absorbency, making this a dependable diaper for both day and nighttime use. Plus, there is no need to remove soiled inserts before washing, toss the Thirsties One-Size Pocket Diaper in the washing machine and the insert will agitate free during the wash cycle. So many amazing features and made in the USA…how simply awesome is that?!
Our handy pocket design features openings on both sides of the diaper between the stay-dry microfleece and waterproof layers. These openings allow for easy insert stuffing from either side of the diaper and make for easy cleaning. The included inserts feature three layers of serged microfiber snapped together with five serged layers of hemp jersey; eight layers in all! When using both inserts with a newborn simply fold down the hemp insert and snap together with the microfiber insert. Microfiber is a fast absorber designed to rest closest to your baby's skin (beneath the microfleece sleeve); hemp is a stable absorber and pairs perfectly behind the microfiber to add more absorbency and prevent compression leaking.
Both hook & loop and snap closures are available on the Thirties One Size Pocket. While many families prefer hook & loop closures because of the simple, secure fit they provide, snap closures do have a few advantages of their own. Snaps are nearly indestructible and are more challenging to unfasten for a toddler who prefers to go naked.
