I have tried many diaper covers over the past 18 months and Thirsties is by far my fav and the only one that I use. I have a tall, slim baby and I like the trim fit of these covers. The double gussets hold everything in, too! I deduct one star for sizing. I wish these (and the duowrap covers) had a higher rise. Size 2 fits my daughter, but if I use workhorse/ fitted diapers underneath, the top doesn't fit inside of the cover and we end up with wet waistbands and fronts of shirts. I wish the size 3 in this cover either had a rise snap like the duowraps, or the duowrap size 3 fit the same weight range as these. Size 3 fit the inner layer, but not the baby!

The velcro works great for quick nighttime changes when you don't want to have to find snaps. They contain blowouts well and fit my 10 lb 10 oz newborn well! I love them!

I love, love these diaper covers. I wish I had a few more so I wouldn't have to use any other covers.

I LOVE the snap diaper covers & hemp prefolds! Hands down best cloth diaper option! Just wish they still came in black!

I love these!!! I began using these with my first kiddo over 5 years ago. I love that they are trim due to being sized (I now have some duo wraps and still love my sized covers the best), and love, love, love the double gussets. Even when we had big "blowouts" they never leaked out of our covers! I have never used the snaps, but the hook and loop is so easy to use and holds up super well (just make sure you close the tabs before washing. I also washed with my diapers, but hung on a line instead of drying. They would be dry in a couple hours. Definitely recommend these! My only complaint is that they don't have the wide range of colors in this style like they did several years ago (I miss the red and pink shades).

I have this cover for my newborn (size XS) and my toddler (size L) and I absolutely love them! After many months of use, the hook and loop begins to pill and the fabric around the laundry tabs is wearing but the cover still extremely functional. They're also pretty roomy and my bulky prefolds fit easily with ample coverage. I can even add more absorbency and the entire diaper will still be covered. I've been cloth diapering for 7 years and these are the best covers I've ever used!

We use primarily a combination of the sized covers and duo wraps and love them both. The hook and loop are fast and easy when baby is doing gymnastics on the changing table

Love these covers! Double gussets are fabulous over fitteds!!

This is my favorite cover to use with a newborn! I love the simplicity and functionality of this cover. I have used the xsmall and small cover with flats, fitteds and prefolds and it works great all around. The only complaint I have is the velcro on my 3 oldest small covers is much better quality than my newest covers, even though, in theory, the new ones should be better (less use)! Did Thirsties change manufacturers?

I loved Thirsties covers; it is the only brand I used. My only complaint though is that the sizing is not accurate. the instruction tag says that it would fit babies up to 18 lbs, but they started to be difficult to fit securely over the diaper by the time my baby hit 14 lbs !
Review by: Jessica Funderburk on Jul, 23, 2015
We absolutely loved our sized covers. The colors were beautiful and it was wide enough to hold even our more bulky prefolds, but still trim. If I had to do it over, I would probably choose the snap version. The hook & loop stained easily and was irreversible. However, that could be chalked up to user error. We did love them and would use them again!

We bought several covers that were supposed to fit babies up to 18 lbs, but they started to be difficult to fit securely over the diaper by the time he hit 14 lbs, and now that he's up to 15 lbs, they're almost unusable. I know babies come in different proportions, and so weight-based sizing is necessarily inexact, but 14 lbs vs. 18 lbs is a big difference--especially since our baby isn't noticeably large in the hips/stomach relative to his weight. The covers are very cute, but I would never have spent so much money if I'd realized we'd only get a few weeks of comfortable use out of them.

I am so excited to find that you can still order these off thirstie. I absolutely love your original diaper cover! I've been using it for 4months now and even my husband loves it. He was hesitant about cloth diapering especially ones with snaps(one size). But when I oredereed these used off another site and also ordered a different brand with snaps thinking hubby could try both and see which he liked. He chooses these every time and hasn't regreted that we clothe diaper once. The Velcro is still strong. Although we forget to close it before washing so they do get caught on each other in the washer which is our fault. By far this is the best product out their. It may be old and not hip but original is always best!!

We used several covers over prefolds when my daughter was a newborn. Thirsties covers were my husbands favorite, hands-down. They are easy to use with a tiny squirmy newborn (and newbie parents), fit really well and we didn't have leaks.

MY FAVORITE COVER. Seriously. I recommend Thirsties to everyone interested in cloth!

These are so much better with the improved hook and loop! I have some of the new ones and the old style, with the smaller closure. This new kind never gets hung in the wash or comes undone on its own! Great cover for over fitted diapers, allows for the extra bulk.

I like the fit of these but I would not choose hook and loop again. The inside of the cover constantly catches on the tabs snagging it. It'll end up with a hole eventually

These were my go to covers with my first diaper. We used a local cloth diaper company that supplied us with prefolds, but we bought and owned all of our own covers. I loved that Thirsties fit my daughter so well and that the covers lasted for 2 years! I plan on using the same ones for baby #2!

These are our one of our top two diaper covers! We recommend these to all of our friends who consider cloth diapers for their little ones, they are so simple!

We use these most nights over fitteds. Velcro has lasted quite a while without wear and tear. The fit works well for this combo but might be a bit baggies over thinner diapers. Most importantly, we don't have leaks ever even with a very squirmy sleeper.

I got a few of the XS covers to use (with cotton prefolds) on my son when he was an itty-bitty newborn (just over 6 pounds). They did a good job covering the bulky prefolds. The ones I purchased were used, but they held up pretty well other than a little bit of wicking around the laundry tabs, which could have been due to them being used, and could have been resolved with newer versions (I got them in 2011). I loved that I could rinse them out, hang them over the bathtub shower curtain, and they'd be dry and ready to use in a few hours. I'm hoping to try more Thirsties products when my rainbow baby is born in May <3

We used both an XS and S cover when our daughter was a newborn. The extra small fit perfectly when we first put in her in cloth at a week old (7.5 lbs). The small cover fit soon after and we used it until she was 17ish lbs. These were great to use with prefolds and workhorse newborns!

I have been using cloth for about a year between my two daughters. I previously bought Charlie Banana, BumGenius, and Alva. My second daughter is big and I needed something that would fit her legs. Someone recommended Thirsties. I'm very happy and wish I had bought more earlier. My husband and me love the hook and loop so much better than the snaps. If you have a larger baby try this product. So much easier then the all in one and stuffing inserts.

Thirsties offers a very popular diaper cover to families looking for a super cute yet effective waterproof cover. Thirsties Diaper Covers are completely waterproof yet remain breathable, pliable, and very comfortable for your baby's delicate skin. The leg gussets add advanced leak-proof protection and bindings are super soft against your baby’s skin.
The generous cut of the covers presents a superior waterproof exterior on any type of flat, prefolded, or fitted cloth diaper. The cover’s roomy fit is ideal for chunky babies, over bulkier diapers, and nighttime systems. Newborn/preemie and x-small sizes feature an umbilical cut out for your newborn's comfort.
Both hook & loop and snap closures are available on Thirsties Diaper Cover. While many families prefer hook & loop closures because of the simple, secure fit they provide, snap closures do have a few advantages of their own. They are pretty much indestructible and are more unyielding than our hook-and-loop closures, making them more challenging to unfasten for a toddler who prefers to go naked.
Want to get away with fewer diaper covers in rotation? The TPU laminate that lines the inside of the soft polyester can be wiped clean between uses, then wash when thoroughly soiled. We suggest one cover for every 3-4 diapers in rotation (excluding diapers with waterproof exteriors).
