What do I do if my Thirsties product has a defect?

Defects are rare, but they do occasionally occur and we apologize wholeheartedly if you have received a defective Thirsties product. We stand behind our products and are happy to work with you to provide a resolution.

Our Warranty:

  • Your product is under limited warranty for possible return for up to 1 year after the original purchase date.
  • Defects include loose stitching, holes discovered upon arrival, broken snaps, etc.
  • Staining, fading, holes that develop with use and potential build-up are all considered normal ‘wear and tear’ and does not suffice for repair or replacement purposes.
  • Leaks are not considered a defect. Please search our database for detailed instructions in battling leaks or call us and we will be happy to troubleshoot with you to ensure successful cloth diapering.
  • If your products were damaged by the use of additives or improper care, the warranty will be void.

Help, My Diapers Are Leaking!-Part 2

There are many reasons why cloth diapers can leak but usually there is a simple solution to fix the problem. Last week we discussed four possible scenarios why cloth diapers can leak. To view reasons 1-4 please visit the previous post here.

Preserving Lamination On Your Cloth Diapers

With the right wash routine and detergent, your Thirsties products should last through one child and onto the next.

Many people do not know that the type of detergent and routine used can greatly affect the life of cloth diapers and covers. In fact, certain chemicals can actually ‘un-glue’ the lamination from your waterproof products when used on a regular basis. The use of harsh detergents and/or additives can void the warranty on your diapering items, so please take care to follow the manufacturers’ care and use instructions.

Specific ingredients or additives to avoid for diapering items with laminate include:

Chlorine Bleach, Oxygen Bleach, Fabric Softeners

As a general rule, avoid additives or detergents that contain:

Fabric Softeners, Brighteners, Dyes, Chemical Fragrance, Chlorine Bleach, Oxygen Bleach, Washing Soda, and Borax
