From the time that I can remember, clothing, fashion, and color coordinating has been important to me. I dreamt of being a fashion designer when I grew up, and took Home Economics in school to learn how to sew. Luckily, my mom had a sewing machine, and I could sew my own clothes at home as well. I was sewing my own clothes from the time I was 12. But fashion wasn’t my only passion, I loved art as well. Artists are known for having a great sense of design, and how to mix and match colors. Even now, when I am sending out diapers for an event or donation, I find myself color coordinating the diapers. I can’t help myself!!
Now, that brought a thought to mind… how many of our customers color coordinate diapers to an outfit? There are so many great prints and colors out there – it is hard to cover them up! These are some of my favorites coordinating prints and colors from Thirsties line:
Unfortunately, one of my favorites has been discontinued:
Alice Brights, I will miss you! This one coordinated with:
What is your favorite print or color? Do you have a special outfit that coordinates with a Thirsties diaper?

I love coordinating my daughter’s outfit to her diaper! I just wish Thirsties had more colors and prints so I could get more!
I only do for Bears games so far. He wears orange or blue only (if enough are clean)
I always coordinate our reddish diapers with our Husker gear on game day.
I have not been so particular about colors but usally I choose based solid colors like if he is weraing a dark shirt, will choose something close to his shirt color
Absolutely! I even organize diapers in the drawer by color family, greens, blues, warms, neutrals. I also try to match diapers to LO’s outfit. It’s just fun.
I color coordinate the diapers when I put them away. I also color coordinate diapers with outfits. I even want to get a Duo Wrap in each print and get coordinating Duo Fab Fitteds for baby number two.
I always color-coordinate. That’s half the fun of using cloth diapers! And I’m like you- I know which group of diapers will coordinate with an outfit.
I love matching my son’s clothes to the diaper and vice versa. I’m always sad when I’ve used up the colour that would go perfect… lucky I have a couple whites on hand to go with anything. I would love to see the Thirsties Duo in a bright red colour.
I don’t do much color coordinating. I will coordinate a diaper with a tshirt if I don’t plan on putting my little one in pants. But even then I don’t always coordinate because I have boys and I also buy pink diapers, but not pink clothes. I also only have enough diapers to last just over a day, so the one that coordinates tends to be dirty.
would love to color coordinate but my stash isnt big enough!
I try to! I have some cute coordinating diaper/outfit combos.
I do color coordinate when my daughter is wearing dresses or when we go to church. I when we are at home it doesnt matter unless we have company coming over.
I just ordered my first Thirsties and am so excited to get them! I totally plan on coordinating diapers with outfits–who wouldn’t?
I started out color coordinating, but its so cold where I live my LO always has to wear pants. So I stopped because it just seemed silly to color coordinate and then cover it up!
so cute… I find myself trying to coordinate them when I put them away but I usually don’t buy too many at once
I also have a hard time coordinating them with the outfit b/c the diapers get changed so often
I definitely coordinate or even try to match themes. Yes I know, I know
But if I can coordinate I will. I am loving the scottish storm. It goes with so many different things!!
We love the hoot print with a t-shirt for my 1 month old.
I don’t really even think about coordinating our diaper covers with the kids’ clothes. I have lots of different colors and there’s no knowing how long a cover will get used before it gets pooped on. I just grab my favorite covers first. I do really like having my kids in such cute diapers, though. I think the disposable diaper companies are starting to pick up on that, because Huggies came out with those hideous denim look diapers.
I love color coordinating not only diapers, but everything!
Color-coordinating is probably the biggest reason to DO cloth!! Okay, maybe that’s just me, but seriously – we live in southwest Florida, where it’s hot all the time, so most kids run around in diapers and a shirt or a light dress. Having a cute little somethin’ on their tush is a necessity – and you can BET it always matches!!
I don’t color coordinate…right now I am so busy I give myself a pat on the back just for keeping him in cloth!
I do not color coordinate, I have two in diapers, one is 3 mos the other 19 mos, so I coordinate based on sizes!
I don’t have enough yet in my stash to color coordinate, but now that I have a little girl, I can see myself doing that.
We are still 7.5 weeks away from the arrival of our baby girl, but we totally plan to try to coordinate her outfits with her diapers! We did buy several thirsties covers in white so that on the days where nothing seems to match… she’ll still match!
Yes! My kiddo went pantsless at home and in the yard pretty much all summer, so color coordinating was a must. Heck, even if she is wearing pants, it bothers me if the diaper doesn’t “go” with her clothes.
My favorite Thirsties print is Blackbirds.
