A few days ago, a small box arrived on my doorstep. It was six new All In Ones (sizes Twos since Cooper just turned 11 months!) in a variety of colors and patterns, including my first diaper in Mud. Very cool. I was so excited to try them out that I immediately threw them in the laundry to get them fluffed up and ready to use.
When my new diapers were prepped and ready for our virgin run, I brought Cooper to the changing table and took off the Duo Fab Fitted and cover he was wearing. The diaper change was over so fast I barely knew what had happened. They were so easy to use I was like “That’s it? That’s all there is to it?” I almost felt like I had forgotten to do something. I especially appreciated the speed of the diaper change considering how Changing Cooper’s Diaper Has…Changed. I had the old diaper off and the new diaper on before he could even get in one good donkey kick.
What do the diapers look like? Well, they’re exactly the same as a Duo Fab Fitted but with the cover sewn right on. The inside has a trim-fitting soaker and the tunnel underneath for adding more inserts–for heavy wetters or nighttime use. I’d have to say, with a squirmy 11 month old, they might just be my new favorite fluff and my husband just told me that they’re his. They’ll be a breeze to throw in the diaper bag so I’ll probably try to save them for outings.
Are the new All In Ones any different to wash? Not so far. Cooper has had several poops in them and despite the fact that the cover is sewn on, the diaper got just as clean, probably thanks to the “tunnel” left in the layers. They did take slightly longer to dry, so midway through the cycle I turned them inside out. I don’t know if I’ll do that every time or not…I’m still experimenting. When they came out of the drier, I turned them right side out, folded them up and took them upstairs to Cooper’s room to put away. No stuffing necessary. They were ready to use in no time flat. I like that.
So if you’re looking to add to your stash, this mom highly recommends trying out Thirsties All In Ones. Especially if you’ve got a mover and a shaker!
I just ordered a whole stash of the Duo AIOs for this exact purpose! I have a squirmy toddler and I’ve been using prefolds with the Thirsties Wraps. I’m looking forward to an easier time at the changing table once we get our Duo AIOs. Is the mail here yet??
I can’t wait to try these! Sounds perfect.
I would love to get a package like that.
Awesome! I want to try them.
Thank you for the comment about washing, I was wondering about that
I’m interested in trying the new AIOs, because Thirsties have always been my go-to diapers! And I love the new brown color!!!!
must. try. these.
Thanks for the review, I can’t wait to try these!
Awesome! I want to order one or 2! hope it continues to go well for you!
I can’t wait to try them out! They sound awesome!
It is so excellent to see an affordable and cute AIO on the market now! I can’t wait to try the Thirsties Duo all-in-one. The Duo sizing is perfect!
I want to try these diapers!
I would love to try these! I have some pocket diapers, but my 6 month old is on the skinny side and wetness leaks out the legs! I have never had a problem with my Thirsties covers and pre-folds though, so I would love, love, love to try their new AIO’s!
I’ve been considering cloth diapering #3 (due in April). This sounds like a great diaper to try!!!
I can’t wait to try these. I have a squirmy little one….this will makes changing a breeze!
These look great! Got one in the mail this week and can’t wait to try it! But baby doesn’t arrive til 3/2…
Very nice…I really want to try. I have always used pockets, but now I am really liking the AIOs.
this was a helpful review.
These look great!
I want to try them!
I just ordered one and I can’t wait to try it. My son is due any minute, so I won’t be able to try it for a few weeks, but at least I can prep it now!
So excited to try these! They look great!
I would love to give these a try!
I would love to try these out. I love the fab fitteds.
I have yet to try a Thirsties diaper but I’m looking forward to trying them out!
I cannot wait to try these out! I have one on the way now! Yay!
These are definitely going on my diaper registry for my baby shower!
I really hope I’ll be taken off diaper-buying lockdown asap so I can try one (or two) of these. Baby girl #2 is due in March, so hopefully I can get matching/coordinating ones and get a photo shoot in before my 21-month-old is potty trained!
They sound great, cant wait to try them for myself!
Excited to try these! Just maybe my husband would help more with diaper changes.
I was initially against AIOs, but the more I read about them (and the more I stuff AI2s), the more I think I’d like at least 1 to try in my stash. Hopefully I get on in this week’s Thirsties Thursday giveaway!
I do have a question about the drying part, but I think I’ll ask that on the FB page.
I might have to give these a try. I do a mix of prefolds and pockets and the more wiggly my daughter gets the more I think I might just need to make the switch!
Tried mine for the first time today. So far so good!
I bet these are awesome! I had 1 duo diaper with my daughter and it was one of my very favorites. I’ll have to try one of these with my next one!
I don’t have any AIOs yet but think these are going to have to be the first I add to my stash! They look great!
I exclusively used prefolds w/my daughter over five yrs ago, but after trying them w/my sonI also got a couple pocket diapers & now have never looked back. I have a nice stash & still need to add some. Love the “mud” color.
waiting for them at the moment. hope this solves our wrestling attacks during diaper changes as well.
Would like to try these and the price is fantastic!
Really curious to try these!
Nice, those look great. It also looks like the leg gusset and edges are darker fabric. That’s the only thing I don’t like about Thirsties – white edges, they stain so easily!
Can’t wait to try these out!
I want to try one of these so bad! I love the Duo Dipes and I bet these are even better!
these sound great!!! they would be great for my rolling twins!!
I have been wanting to try these, I keep seeing them all over the place!
Thanks for the post. It is nice to get all of this information from someone actually using them!
I can’t wait to try these. My 4 month old is already super squirmy, so I can’t imagine how difficult prefolds and covers will be in a few more months.
I’m thinking these will be perfect to leave for sitters! Hard to mess up, even with the squirmy babies.
I can’t WAIT to try the new AIO.
I am super excited to try an AIO hopefully the babysitters will like them and I won’t have to keep a few extra spoisies around for them!!
Can’t wait to try these! Should get my order sometime this weekend
I love my Thirsties Duo Wrap covers with prefolds, and I’m looking forward to the ease of an AIO while we’re out and about!
Fluff envy is happening over here! I think the new Duo AIO just climbed to the top of my diaper wish list!
I’ve always loved Thirsties! These sound great!
Thanks for the review!
I can’t wait to get my hands on one of these!
I SO want to try these!
Cant wait to try these!!!!!
So exciting! I really want to try these out
I love the fab fitted and wraps…so I’m sure I’d love the AIO!
Our kiddos are the same age! My baby girl turned 11 months on 1/22
She is a handful anywhere, let alone the changing table–so glad Thirsties came out with duo AIOs just in time!
Hello AIO nuff said these are sooo great!
If only our ridiculously hard water would get all-in-ones clean….I’d love these!
These sound so easy! I would love to try them!!!
I use prefolds with Thirsties covers and some pocket diapers with my toddler. I have been thinking about giving these a try but I do worry about the increase in drying time. May have to stop at the local store and get one or two to trial!
I love the duo covers for nighttime, haven’t yet tried one of the AIOs.
A few years ago I purchased a set of Thirsties stuffable pocket diapers (I guess they were called AIO?) and had lots of trouble with them wicking. Is this the new and improved version? I noticed that the old version stopped being sold, and that the new version has a different leg gusset….just curious how they have been improved. I adore Thirsties prints and own tons of the duo wraps–big fan!!
can’t wait to try them and love the price!
I think I need to try these!
I can’t wait to try these out!
I had been wondering about drying time for these new AIO’s. I still plan on getting some for our soon-to-be new arrival figuring that they can’t possibly take longer to dry than the hemp inserts, right?
I think that I could use a couple of these for dad, etc. – but I kind of love drying my covers on the drying rack and the diapers in the dryer… wondering how the cover part of the AIOs will hold up over time over being dried?
These really look great! I’m going to have to order some!!
I might be the only not so positive commenter… I just bought four of these and don’t love them. I, too, have an 11-month old and he is 19lbs and in size 2 (middle snap). I’m not sure if it’s the snap closure (I had been using the hook and loop closure), but I found these to not fit as well as my pocket Thirsties that I love. I was also a little disappointed that the extra gusset was removed, but that may just be the size 2s and it really doesn’t matter too much since he’s on solid foods now and his poop is not runny bf’ing poop anymore. I will probably only use these for naptime and around the house since they are bulkier than our pockets. I just ordered four of the old tried and true pockets in size 2 only minutes ago. I do LOVE the idea of these and maybe when he’s bigger they will fit better, but for now, I am sticking to hoop and loop pockets.
I love the “tunnel” idea! My biggest issue with the all in one is the washing/drying issues.
Love ours!! Great daddy diaper!
I just started using cloth diapers and we started with the BB hybrids. Already, I am addicted to cloth diapering! So, I have been searching other diapers, especially as my husband is very anti-cloth diapering. While he is coming around to it, I was/am looking for something that would be super easy for him (similar to disposables) and I just keep coming back to these Thirsties Duo AIOs. I don’t have anywhere local to see/feel them in person, but I think I might just bite the bullet and order a couple to see how they work for us!
Can’t wait to try this diaper! I’ve liked all the products I’ve tried from Thirsties so far!
These sound great! I want to try them now!!
I am torn between snaps and aplix! Ahhhhh!
Really looking forward to trying these out!! Love Thirsties but sticking with two parters until baby is a bit bigger. Just makes the anticipation stronger!
They sound great! Hope I can try them someday…
I’ve been wondering if my husband would appreciate the cloth routine more if we had a simpler diaper. I think he’d most appreciate a stash that’s ALL the SAME…but I can’t seem to help myself!
I really want to try these. We have the covers & the fitteds and love that combo. <3
I am very excited to try these! Thank you for all the detailed information. I was worried about them coming clean and it sounds like they are cleaning up quick and easy.
We can’t wait to try these!
I got a snap in mud last week and I have my favorite diaper! It passed the easy to clean and didn’t leak poop test, the clothes fit over it test, and the made it all night long with a hemp insert test. Great job Thirsties!
I would love to try these!
I just finished washing mine today so excited to try them as a night diaper!!
I don’t have any AIO’s but I am loving this chocolate brown color!! Might have to get one!
Loved reading about the new thirsties!
