You do have to be very, very careful using colloidal silver. It is still used in western medicine, but because of the extreme and permanent effect of an accidental overdose, it is used cautiously. Google colloidal silver poisoning for more information. Sometimes people overdose even with small doses!

I didn’t know it had so many uses! Our pediatrician used it to dry out LO’s belly button at 3 weeks, but before that I’d never heard of it used for medicinal purposes.

Wow! I had no idea colloidal silver could be used for SO much! I am just starting my cloth diaper journey and I am going to look more into adding to my wash. And so glad to hear Sam and Cooper are both pink eye free!

I do have to cringe a little when I read this, I work in the veterinary field and I understand the desire to avoid the bills associated with going there (just paid $160 to diagnose my own dog with severe arthritis and that was with my discount.) Eyes however, I would be wary of using anything over the counter. If there is a scratch of the cornea, it can get worse fairly quickly and then complications can result. If you are interested in alternative therapies, you can find a veterinarian who specializes in holistic/eastern medicine (they do exist) who can work with you on safe alternative medications. Glad Sam is ok!

I use a couple of drops of Colloidal Silver in my Neti Pot along with some pink Himalayan salt. It helps a lot when I have stuffy sinuses. If I use it 3 times a day as suggested, it stops the cold in it’s tracks. (Salt kills germs as well.) But it does sting a bit!
