I have bought a friend cloth diapers off their registry (BG 3.0) as well as gave them fitted with a cover (not on registry) to give them a chance to try something "differwnr". This was before my son so I didn't really know much, but I bought a little of everything to start. This particular friend used all the diaps I gave but did stick with the BGs, it's what their nephews used. I find them strange, because they use the cloth diapers most of the time but they aren't cloth diaper obsessed. They have no issues not using them depending on the situation. I always make cloth diapers work. But every cloth diaperer, even just part/most of the time, is great in my book!

I wouldn't buy them unless I knew the person was interested or actively looking to cloth diaper.

I don't recall but I don't believe I registered for any cloth diapers. By the time baby shower came around I think I had my stash set. :)

I did put cloth diapers on my registry when I was pregnant, but I didn't receive any as gifts. Maybe people thought it was too strange to give cloth diapers as gifts. I would have loved getting some as a gift!

I wish I would have asked for cloth diapers, but when I was filling out my baby registry, I was overwhelmed, and diapers were the last decision on my mind... cloth diapers confused me... Still do, actually, though I think I'd like to try them. I would definitely love to give them to a friend if they were interested, but I'd ask first!

We registered for cloth and thankfully our families bought us some and those that didn't gifted us with money and told us in the card that it was to help us purchase our diapers :)
As for our babysitters and daycare. They have all taken to it very easily and we might have even converted one of the ladies at daycare to try our cloth for her soon-to-be-bundle! We have prefolds, Bumgenious AIOs and Flips. We use the Flips and the AIOs for the babysitters and daycare so that the transition were easy.

My husband and I registered for cloth diapers online! My friends and family are all very supportive. They may think we are crazy, but they act supportive! So we are hoping to get some cloth diapers at our showers!
