We believe this because you share in our values for happy and healthy baby beginnings, and by virtue of such you continue the fight for sound futures. If ever you have any suggestions on how to improve our products or the way in which we operate our business, we'd love to hear your suggestions! Our warehouse is a renovated 1920's feed store in downtown Caņon City, Colorado. Caņon City is a small town nestled up against the south-eastern foothills of the Rocky Mountains. We choose to relocate from Denver over 4 years ago to enjoy the great climate and endless recreational opportunities. The Arkansas River provides some of the best rafting and kayaking in the world. The hills that surround us offer amazing hiking and mountain biking opportunities. Erin became infatuated with the sewing machine and all
its wonders beginning at a very young age. Her grandmother, Pearl, was a truly gifted craftswoman and eventually become a local
celebrity in her artful expressions. Pearl's father passed away when she
was just a baby leaving she and her mother to fend for themselves in a
poverty-stricken tenement of New York City. Pearl was taught to sew
professionally alongside learning her ABCs and tying her shoes. Though
Pearl was only a child, she and her mother worked tirelessly together as
sewers for a large clothing manufacturing company to try and make ends
meet. Despite the fact that she was forced to sew in lieu of a formal
education in order to keep bread on the table for herself, Pearl was
enamored with the needle and thread and all the limitless possibilities
of creativity it provided. As an adult, she continued to sew for both
hobby and profession. Never was she seen without a needle and thread in
her hand. In due time, she graciously passed along her gift and her
unquenchable thirst for creativity and sewing to her granddaughter,
Erin. --------------------------------------------------------------
Sonya is the glue that keeps Thirsties running so smoothly. Sonya grew up on a farm in Minnesota and has the freckles to prove it! Her parents moved their large family here 25 years ago, and became a granola eating, tree hugging Colorado girl! She has three very funny children: Julia (13), Stephan (4), and Nina (3) and a very good looking French husband =). Outside of work, Sonya and her family like to hike, go on picnics, take bike rides, and watch the goldfish and tadpoles in their pond. The younger ones love to do yoga with Sonya before bed. She practices organic gardening, and in her spare time she is out digging in the dirt! --------------------------------------------------------------
Sarah is an absolute laugh a minute. She is such a joy to be around and we are so lucky to have Sarah as part of the Thirsties team! She was born in Ohio and is the 4th of 5 kids in her family. She was fortunate to be able to move around quite a bit due to her father's air force career and actually enjoyed a couple years in Germany. In her spare time, Sarah plays guitar, loves camping, and hiking. She is diehard vegetarian at heart and is studying to earn a degree in nutrition. --------------------------------------------------------------
Katie is a recent transplant to Colorado & we are thrilled to have her on board. Katie is a pre-med student that actually began her college career at age 15! She loves to keep busy and outside of working for Thirsties everyday, Katie enjoys volunteering at the local hospital. Katie is an excellent pianist and vocalist; we love to listen to her hum while busy at work! --------------------------------------------------------------
Emily is incredibly creative and can really work some magic with a pile of salvage fabric and a sewing machine! Outside of her days with Thirsties, Emily stays very busy all hours of the day and night apprenticing as a midwife. --------------------------------------------------------------
