With over fifty years combined experience in accounting, banking, finance, and operations, Rick and Meg are excited to be involved in a new industry that is refreshingly family friendly and has such potential to grow and change the landscape of diapering. Rick’s greatest desire is to ensure that our customers’ experience with Thirsties is a given as to quality. It is of utmost importance that inventory availability, product quality, warranty service, and shipping are beyond excellent and always leave an impression of how much we care. Relationships with customers, employees, and vendors are our most important business.
Sadler and Gina add sales, marketing, and operational experience to the team. They are thrilled to be involved with such an exciting industry that is in sync with their own values and is naturally compatible with Thirsties’ triple bottom line philosophy (social, environmental, and economic success). Sadler spends his time working to improve Thirsties product offerings and better the Thirsties experience for their retail partners and customers.
Sadler and Gina are proud parents of a sweet, happy Thirsties product tester, Mia. When not working, they enjoy watching Mia figure life out, spending time with friends and family, playing outside and traveling.
In 2004, Erin, as a new cloth diapering mom, couldn't find a diaper cover that quite suited the needs of her baby, and therefore set out to create her own design of waterproof wraps. The first covers were patterned, cut, and sewn on her dining room table with her secondhand sewing machine and went through several tweaks over the course of 18 months before they were finally released! It was a painstaking process, but all the hard work and innovation paid off and resulted in the best selling diaper cover on the market today.
Erin sold the company to the Merrills in 2010, but remains involved in an advisory position, and now spends most of her time focused on home schooling her kids and building her new business, Eco Enclose.
Sonya, an eco-crusader and cloth diaper enthusiast, has been serving help and advice to Thirsties customers for 3 years now. You may have spoken to her by email, chat, or phone, or seen her posts on the Thirsties Facebook page. She also throws a bit of research and product development in to the mix to create a well-rounded stew of knowledge!
Sonya lives in the Colorado mountains with her husband and three artistic and spirited children. Outside of work, Sonya enjoys spending time with her family in the outdoors, practicing yoga, and digging in the dirt.
After 20+ years as a stay-at-home mom, Jeri is now Thirsties’ office manager extraordinaire! Her home management experiences and positive outlook help to ensure that operations run smoothly, efficiently, and cheerfully at our Loveland warehouse.
She is wife to Alan, proud mother of five daughters and three sons, and has six fabulous grand-children. Jeri loves to surround herself with her large family, and enjoys gardening, reading, and serving in her church.
With 6 years of sales and marketing experience for a Fortune 500 company, Erin combines her extensive knowledge in commerce with her enthusiasm for the Thirsties brand to head our sales department. Her goal is to be a partner to her customers, educating them both on the Thirsties brand and the many benefits of cloth diapering.
Erin’s two daughters, Skylar & Charleigh, both wear Thirsties diapers (and are part time Thirsties models!), allowing Erin to have firsthand knowledge of the product she sells. Erin is an avid golfer and enjoys walking, biking, and hiking with her family.
Kelly is Thirsties' Marketing Director and author of "Changing Diapers: A Hip Mom's Guide To Modern Cloth Diapering". Kelly is also a leading cloth diaper expert and advocate who has a passion for helping parents make informed decisions when it comes to how they diaper their babies. Kelly is a mom to three children, Olivia, Hanz, and Riley and a dedicated military wife.
Jessica is a Colorado native with a travel bug. She attended Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, OH before moving around the country. She is a fantastic mama to Jacob (2.5). When she’s not working, she can be found sewing, reading, or playing outside with Jacob and her fiancé, Chris. She enjoys cooking and makes a mean car bomb cupcake. She was late to the cloth diaper party, but loves it!
Sarah is one of the all-star members of the shipping department. She is currently preparing for nursing school. She is a proud wife to an Army soldier. During her free time Sarah enjoys running, spending time with her family and dog, reading, and enjoying beautiful Colorado.
